Buttercup Lodge
Northumberland
Buttercup Lodge suits couples seeking a quiet retreat, or anyone needing a single bedroom base near the Northumberland coast. The detached lodge sits on its own within the owners' grounds, with a large enclosed garden, patio and chiminea for outdoor time. One step leads into the open-plan living space, which combines sitting and dining areas with a wood-burning stove, television and patio doors onto the garden. The bedroom holds a king-size bed and has an ensuite shower. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, with electric cooker, microwave, fridge and dishwasher.
Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and WiFi are included. One car can park on site. The lodge takes one well-behaved pet. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
Two miles away, Amble harbour has working fishing boats, a sandy beach and a Sunday market with seafood restaurants and fish and chip shops. The Heritage Coast, Druridge Bay Nature Reserve and Craster are a short drive. Alnwick Castle lies a few miles inland, and the wider county opens out to Hadrian's Wall and the National Park.
