🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Captain Ron’s

Northumberland

Captain Ron's is a first-floor apartment in a modern development on the Northumberland coast, sleeping four across two bedrooms. One room has a double bed, the other two singles; there's a bathroom with bath and shower, and an open-plan living space that combines the kitchen, dining and sitting areas. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge and washer-dryer. There is parking for one car on site, and no smoking is permitted inside.

The beach at Beadnell Bay is a ten-minute walk away, a wide sandy stretch popular with water sports enthusiasts—divers, kite-surfers and sea kayakers use it regularly. The village itself has a shop, pub and restaurant within easy reach. Seahouses, a traditional fishing port two miles up the coast, has boat trips to the Farne Islands where you can see puffins and seals. Bamburgh Castle and its beach are three miles further on. Inland, Alnwick offers its castle, gardens and the notable secondhand bookshop Barter Books. The setting sits within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, making it a straightforward choice for a traditional seaside break with younger children or as a couples' getaway.
