Craster Harbour is a ten-minute walk from Castle Walk, where fishing boats unload daily catches and a Sunday market fills the quayside. Warkworth Castle rises on a hillside across the water, framed by a village of tea rooms and independent shops. The train station at Alnmouth, four miles south, runs services to Edinburgh, York and Newcastle. Alnwick itself—fifteen minutes by car—draws visitors to its castle, cobbled high street and independent traders. A small beach with huts lies within the town, and a park edges the property.

The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms: one with a zip-and-link super king (convertible to singles on request), one with a double. Downstairs is all there is—a living room with smart TV and electric fire, a kitchen with electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge, and a bathroom with shower over bath. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and WiFi come with the booking. The small yard has on-road parking thirty yards away. One dog stays free. Ground-floor access and an open-plan layout make it straightforward to live in for a week or weekend.

No smoking indoors. Check-in is after 15:00, checkout before 10:00.

Nice little walk from Craster to the castle. You can park in Craster - there are plenty of spots. The walk itself is quite nice and easy. Lovely views of the castle on approach. Takes about 30 mins to reach the castle at average pace. There're sheep in the field but usually quite far and lots of sheep poo so watch out!

By the sea all the way, mostly flat and easy walking. Lovely views, no facilities or shelter though.

A very pleasant few hours walking from the quarry car park at Craster to Dunstanburgh castle and the beach beyond at Low Newton. Easy going path with good gates, a few rocks section but manageable. There are plenty of sheep around and one field with cows so leads required for the dogs, can run free on the beach beyond. We walked on a lovely day and thoroughly enjoyed it, started with food in the car park (Pipers Pitch) and a coffee by the harbour, ended with a pint and dinner in the Jolly Fisherman, a top day out
