Catcleugh Bridge View stands on the edge of Kielder village, where the forest meets open countryside. This four-bedroom property sleeps six and comes as a whole house to yourself, making it suited to families or groups wanting space and privacy. A wood burning stove in the kitchen/dining room is the heart of the place; the living room has a 60-inch smart TV with streaming access. The main bedroom is kingsize with an ensuite bathroom; two further doubles and a single complete the sleeping arrangements, served by a shower room. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered, and initial logs for the stove are provided.
The kitchen is equipped for real cooking—electric range, dishwasher, microwave and all the basics. Outside, an enclosed lawned garden with furniture offers somewhere to sit. Parking is available for two cars on site, and a bike store is there if you arrive on two wheels. The property does not permit smoking, and it draws its water from a natural spring rather than mains supply.
Kielder Forest is England's largest working forest and part of a national park stretching over 250 square miles, with Europe's biggest man-made lake at its heart. The visitor centres cover everything from Kielder Castle to the nature reserves; walking routes criss-cross the area, and water and land-based activities are abundant. The night skies here are exceptional. Hadrian's Wall and the Scottish Borders are within reach for day trips.

This is a beautiful very well equipped large semi-detached cottage / house in the heart of kielder. It has stunning scenery and the kielder observatory and forest is on your doorstep. The cottage / house is amazing and available to book on cottages.com. I would highly recommend this place.

Top notch! What a beautifully laid out house with plenty of space. It has a well equipped kitchen and well sized bedrooms. It's close to a beautiful lake with a well maintained path. We did manage to walk around it in a day by cutting off a peninsula, but would not recommend it! We are minded to return.

This is a real gem. Beautifully refurbished to a very high standard, decor all grey/white with oak. 4 bedrooms, and a lot of downstairs living space. Space for 2 cars. The owners are brilliant with communication and have thought of pretty much everything you might forget (!). There is no mobile signal but excellent wifi! The kitchen is well appointed and the beds really comfortable. You are less than 2 miles from the closest access to Kielder water - the very useful house info suggests not trying to walk all the way around it, so we did that on day 2 (3 DofE seasoned teenagers with parents who do long distance running). Took us 8h45 including lunch stop, so do factor that in if you fancy the attempt!
