The lodge itself is yours alone, with parking for two cars and a six-person hot tub on the decked terrace—the kind of thing that transforms an ordinary evening into something memorable.

Inside, the open-plan ground floor combines living, dining and kitchen areas, with patio doors opening onto the deck. The kitchen handles proper cooking; bedrooms have televisions; heating runs throughout. The on-site café and restaurant save you cooking every night, though Warkworth village, Alnwick and Morpeth are all within a short drive, each with their own cafés, restaurants and shops. Northumberland Zoo lies half a mile away; Alnwick Castle and its gardens are further afield but worth the journey. Golfers should know Burgham Park is nearby. The park has a children's play area, and there are steps in the grounds. No smoking is permitted. You arrive from 3pm and depart by 10am, with electricity, bed linen and towels included.
