Serenity Lodge

Alnwick Castle and its water gardens lie a short drive away, as does Northumberland Zoo half a mile off. The A1 is close by, yet the 40-acre grounds feel removed from the everyday—there's a small lake with swans, space to walk, and an on-site restaurant and café. Morpeth's market town charm, with its Victorian arcade and riverside setting, is nearby, as are various local pubs and restaurants.

Serenity Lodge is a detached property sleeping six across two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Downstairs is an open-plan living and dining area with a smart TV, Netflix and Sky access, plus a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and washer-dryer. The main bedroom has a double bed and ensuite shower; the second has two single beds. A wood-burning stove and gas central heating keep things warm. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included, and there's parking for three cars on site.

The main draw is the private hot tub on a raised deck, lit by fairy lights—accessible from the patio doors and set back from the lodge for peace. The grounds are shared with other properties, and there's a children's play area. No smoking throughout. One dog is welcome. Ground-floor living and a level approach make access straightforward, though note there are steps in the wider grounds.
