Garden House
Northumberland

Alnmouth's position on Northumberland's coast makes it a natural stop for anyone drawn to the sea. The village sits where the River Aln meets the shore, a quiet place rather than a busy resort. Garden House occupies this setting directly opposite the estuary, its reverse-level design making the most of the position—the main living space, kitchen and bathroom are on the first floor, facing out towards the water.
Three bedrooms across different levels offer flexibility: a king on the ground floor with ensuite shower, another king on the lower ground floor, and a three-quarter double on the second floor. Two bathrooms serve the property. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—gas oven, gas hob, dishwasher, range—and opens to a rear garden with patio, terrace, sitting areas and a gas barbecue. A chiminea is there too. Bike storage and private parking are provided. Bed linen, towels and heating are included; wifi works throughout.
The property suits families wanting space and a base for exploring the coast and Northumberland countryside. Note that access involves ten steps to the entrance and five more within the garden itself. One pet is welcome at no extra cost. Smoking is not permitted inside.
