About Coast and Castles Campsite

Just a stone's throw from Alnwick's famous castle, Coast and Castles Campsite strikes a fine balance between laid-back charm and practical convenience. Spacious pitches—grass or gravel, with or without electric—give breathing room for families and their four-legged friends, while hot showers, a well-kept play area, and an on-site bar serving food from local vendors keep everyone happy. The facilities are clean if a touch basic, but that suits the relaxed, unpretentious vibe many campers come here to enjoy.

Friendly staff and a peaceful setting make it easy to unwind after days exploring Northumberland's coast, castles, and walking trails. Campfires and barbecues are welcome, adding to the sociable atmosphere. From around £22 a night, it's a straightforward, well-equipped base for discovering one of England's most spectacular counties.

Great spot. We camped 1 night in our tent. Amenities were basic but clean. Showers were nice and hot. We had bike issues so asked to move our booking to the following day with no issues - amazing! Bar open daily at 5pm. Food available Friday & Saturday only. Note for cyclists - no place to charge phones as no common room so make sure you have a battery etc.

A large site that is spread out with a relaxed feel. A non electric campervan pitch was £25pn. Toilets & showers are unisex shacks - clean enough but very basic & the string lights weren’t working when we were there so you needed a torch! The Gin Tin bar was a nice touch alongside the food hut (which wasn’t open as we were there Tuesday/Wednesday). We cycled into Alnwick and had a beer at the Tree House restaurant in the grounds of Alnwick Castle.

I've just got back from spending a weekend camping here with my family. What a great campsite this is! The pitches are well spaced so you have lots of room which is great. The facilities are clean, someone was there each morning to restock & clean. The on-site park is great for the kids & the Gin Tin is well stocked to suit everyone's needs. The pop-up food vendors are a great addition too. The campsite is in a great location for exploring the all the different coasts & local areas. Overall what a great campsite this is & we will definitely be coming back!!

Great wee campsite. Stayed 2 adults 2 kids (10+6year old). Lots of space on the pitch, we camped (non electric) tent, very reasonably priced, park the car right next to the tent. The play park was a hive of activity, we could sit back relax and keep and eye on the kids. Facilities are everything you need, clean toilets, hot showers, washing area, drinking water, sink for brushing teeth and bar open every night 5pm, pizza hut was open on the Wednesday (saved us cooking!) check out the sign at the campsite or Facebook page for updates. £10 for fire wood from the bar,you get everything you need to get started and lasted us 3 nights. Really chilled vibe when we stayed, quite a few families so kids had such an amazing time making new friends. We stayed over the Easter holidays. 5 mins drive to local coop shop or a 20 mins walk. Walk to Boulmer beach is a good 20mins with kids, then you can explore the coast. We lucked out with weather but we all had such a great time. Would definitely stay again.
