Granary Cottage is one of five converted farm buildings on a working estate in Northumberland, standing alone on its own grounds. You arrive into a sitting room with patio doors opening onto a private patio and garden, an immediate sense of space despite the modest footprint. The kitchen sits to one side—compact but properly equipped for self-catering—with a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs, a second bedroom with a double bed provides sleeping space for four people overall.
The cottage comes with electricity, bed linen, and parking for one car on site. A travel cot and high chair are available if needed. The patio is enclosed and furnished; the garden beyond is largely wild grassland, which is by design—dogs particularly benefit from this arrangement and stay free. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
The location is a mile from Hadrian's Wall, with open views across Northumbrian countryside and genuine rural quiet. The nearest settlements provide services, but you are genuinely remote. The four neighbouring cottages on the estate can be rented alongside this one for larger family groups.
