Heatherlea

Heatherlea comes fully equipped for self-catering: the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer, while a utility room contains a washer-dryer. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included, as is the initial fuel for the open fire in the living room. One dog is welcome free of charge. Off-road parking accommodates three cars, and the enclosed tiered garden has a patio with BBQ and furniture.

The cottage sleeps seven across four bedrooms: two singles on the lower ground floor, a double and single on the ground floor, and a king-size on the first floor with its own en-suite shower. Two bathrooms serve the property. The ground floor also has a sun room with French doors opening to the garden. The layout works well for families—two bedrooms are conveniently placed on the ground floor—though the garden is stepped, so do mention your children's ages when booking and the owner will arrange appropriate safety equipment and a cot if needed.

Otterburn is a quiet village in Redesdale. Le Petit Château is nearby. No smoking inside.
