Hetton Byre is a converted barn arranged entirely on the ground floor, so you step straight into an open-plan living space with a wood-burning stove, sofa bed, dining area and kitchen. The bedroom holds a king-size bed and connects to an en-suite shower room; there's also a separate toilet and a utility room with washer-dryer. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, so you can cook properly rather than make do. Underfloor heating fed by a ground source heat pump keeps the place warm, and logs for the stove are provided. Essentials like bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are covered in the price.

Outside there's an enclosed garden with patio, garden furniture and a barbecue, plus parking for two cars and a bike store. One dog stays free, and the owners provide extras to make pets comfortable. The property sits in open countryside near Chatton village; Belford with shops and services is under five miles away, and Alnwick town with its castle and gardens is about 20 miles south. Bamburgh Castle and the Northumberland coast lie to the east, while Wooler and the Cheviot Hills are accessible to the west. Smoking is not permitted.
