Morpeth and the surrounding countryside draw visitors for quiet breaks and countryside rambles. Lee View is a detached cottage in The Lee, a small hamlet south of the town, where the landscape opens into rolling Northumbrian farmland. The approach is via a single step to the entrance, leading into a ground-floor open-plan space with a kitchen (electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, combi microwave), dining area and sitting room. Upstairs is a kingsize bedroom with ensuite shower, heated towel rail and toilet. The property sleeps two and is yours alone for the duration of your stay.
A gas barbecue and garden furniture occupy the enclosed patio. Parking for one car is on site, and there's a bike store for exploring by two wheels. Wi-Fi and all heating and hot water are included. Bed linen and towels are provided. The cottage does not permit smoking.
Longhorsley village, 2 miles away, has a shop and pub. Rothbury, 4 miles off, holds independent shops, cafés and pubs, plus the National Trust's Cragside House. Two pubs serving food sit in Longframlington, 3½ miles south. Walking starts from the door, and the A697 connects easily to wider Northumberland—Alnwick Castle is within reach, Druridge Bay 14 miles, the Heritage Coast beyond. Morpeth itself, 9 miles north, has a swimming pool, river activities and regular train services to Newcastle and Edinburgh.
