The Dairy & Annex
Northumberland
These are two separate converted farm buildings at Brinkburn, designed to work as one property or independently. The Dairy holds two bedrooms upstairs and down, each with an en-suite bathroom—one fitted with both a freestanding bath and walk-in shower, the other with a shower cubicle. A third bedroom with shower room sits in the Annex, a self-contained annexe behind. The whole thing sleeps six and can be booked as a single unit.
The Dairy's ground floor opens into a large living space with kitchen, dining area and a second sitting room without a television. Upstairs, one of the bedrooms has a Smart TV; downstairs, the other does too. Both main bedrooms have zip-and-link super-king beds that split into twins if you ask. A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer handles laundry. The Annex, reached separately, offers a quieter retreat with its own bedroom, reading area and bathroom with both bath and shower. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered; one car can park on site. The building does overlook Brinkburn valley, though the angle and distance mean this isn't a panoramic feature. One well-behaved pet stays free. Smoking is not permitted inside.
This works for two families or a group wanting separate sleeping quarters but shared living space, or for anyone who needs a lot of bathrooms relative to bedrooms. The converted farm aesthetic gives it character that a purpose-built holiday home wouldn't have.
