Lilac Cottage comes ready to use: electricity, heating, wifi, bed linen and towels are all covered, so you arrive to a property that's prepared. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, making it straightforward to self-cater or manage a longer stay. Freeview TV, DVD player and a soundbar are in the living area. Two bedrooms sleep three—a double and a single—served by one bathroom with a shower over the bath and a heated towel rail. If you're travelling with a small child, a travel cot and highchair are available. The cottage sits on road parking.
This 18th-century terrace cottage stands next to The Cottage Inn, a pub within a mile serving food in a family-friendly beer garden. Dunstan is a small hamlet on the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to Craster's fishing port and its famous smoked kippers. The Heritage coastline stretches for 20 miles hereabouts, with Dunstanburgh Castle's ruins and Embleton Bay within walking distance, alongside rocky coves and broad sandy beaches. A bus route connects to Alnwick and Seahouses. The cottage does not permit smoking, but one dog stays free.
