Low Chibburn Farm Cottage is a renovated stone building set on working farmland in Northumberland, a mile from the coast and within reach of Druridge Bay's beach. The property sits apart from the farm itself, so you have privacy while still being close enough to watch cattle and sheep in the surrounding fields—something children often enjoy. One dog is welcome here, though it must stay on a lead in this sheep country.
The cottage holds three bedrooms and two bathrooms across two floors. Downstairs has a living room with a wood burner, a kitchen-diner with a proper table for eating together, and a utility room with laundry facilities. Upstairs are the three bedrooms: one double with an ensuite shower, and two pairs of single beds. A separate toilet on each floor means you won't be queuing in the mornings. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi—are included, along with initial logs for the burner. The enclosed back garden has a patio, furniture and a barbecue.
Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, a small seaside village with cafés, pubs and a flat promenade, is nearby. Amble has a Sunday market and restaurants; Morpeth is 8 miles away with shops and a market-town atmosphere. Further afield are Hadrian's Wall, Alnwick Castle and Northumberland National Park.
