Amble sits on the Northumberland coast where the River Coquet meets the sea, known locally as the friendliest port. The town has a working harbour, Sunday market, fish restaurants and boat trips to Coquet Island. Melrose is a ground floor apartment in the centre of town, within walking distance of the shops, pubs and harbour.
The property has one double bedroom, a shower room, and a living and dining space with a 32" TV. The kitchen comes equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, so you can cook properly. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are included. There is private parking for one car at the rear and secure storage for bikes or motorbikes in the garage.
The location works well for exploring the wider coastline. Warkworth, with its castle, is walkable from Amble along the marina and river. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty stretches north along golden beaches and castles towards Berwick-upon-Tweed. Holy Island is within reach if you time your visit to the tides. Alnwick, ten miles inland, has the castle and the market town's shops and restaurants. Smoking is not permitted inside.
