Amble's harbour, independent shops and waterfront pubs are all within reach on foot from The Old Wash House. The town sits on the Northumberland coast where fishing boats still operate from the quay, and walking trails lead north towards Coquet Island. For a wider exploration, Warkworth Castle and the beaches around Newbiggin are a short drive away.
This ground-floor cottage dates from the 1600s, built in stone with exposed beams and period character throughout. The open-plan interior combines a living area with a kitchen that has an electric oven, gas hob and microwave for cooking, plus a dining space where two can eat. A bedroom holds a king-size bed, and the bathroom has a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. Wi-Fi and the essentials—electricity, bed linen and towels—are all provided.
The enclosed garden and patio are the real draw: there's a firepit for evening gatherings, garden furniture, and space to settle in. One well-behaved pet can stay free. The property is non-smoking. Parking is on road.
