Number Twenty-Nine

Northumberland

View on Google Maps

Berwick-upon-Tweed sits where England meets Scotland, with the North Sea coastline and Cheviot hills within easy reach. Number Twenty-Nine is a compact, unusually configured house in this historic border town, just a short walk from the railway station and town centre. The main bedroom—a spacious double—occupies the ground floor alongside a separate toilet. Upstairs, an open-plan living and dining space connects to a modern kitchen with electric cooking and full appliances; a shower room with walk-in enclosure completes the layout. The stairs between floors are steep with two turns, with grab rails fitted on both sides.

The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking proper meals rather than holiday basics. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; on-street parking is available at an additional cost. The property is for couples or families only, and smoking is not permitted.

Berwick offers pubs and restaurants within a mile, and serves as a base for exploring the Scottish borders, the Northumberland coast around Lowick and Goswick, or inland to Holy Island at Lindisfarne—worth timing carefully for the tides. The surrounding countryside stretches toward the Cheviot Valley inland.
