Morpeth and the surrounding Northumberland coast offer easy access to working harbours, castle ruins and market towns. Red Hen Cottage sits within reach of these, a single-storey stone building set on a smallholding where one dog can stay free. The whole place is yours alone, with four bedrooms split between a super king, a zip-and-link super king, a double and two singles. Two bathrooms include a spa bath and a separate walk-in shower. Heating and hot water are handled by gas central heating, and the essentials—linen, towels, electricity and wifi—are covered in your stay.
The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with a dishwasher, electric range and usual appliances. Both the living room and kitchen-diner have 50-inch smart televisions. Outside, a private eight-person hot tub sits on the patio with garden furniture dotted across the lawn; there are two steps down to the garden. Inside, a woodburner warms the living room. Parking for four cars comes with the property. No smoking throughout.

Lovely idyllic cottage located perfectly to explore the surrounding areas ,definitely recommend Alnwick castle and gardens for a day out ,and if you have kids or your a big kid at heart and want to redo your childhood, go to cresswell beach for the rockpools at low tide ,and dont forget the ice cream shop at the top ,such a lovely place will be back

Just left this place. We had such a great time. Thank you so much. The property is very modern and warm. Hot tub and bath tub were nothing but amazing. The log burner was lovely. Kitchen was easy to use and the welcome packs for the humans and the dogs are a great touch. If I had to criticize anything, i would have more an enclosed garden for the dogs, and fire wood for the first night at least. Apart from that, nothing to complain about. We will be back x

Beautiful well equipped cottage. So cosy and comfortable. The welcome pack from the owner a lovely touch. Cottage had everything we needed. The hot tub was amazing even in November. We were a group of 5 friends staying for a 60th birthday. Beautiful area with lovely places to visit. Would definitely return.

Beautiful self catering cottage. Quiet place within a few miles to beautiful coast line and villages. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you could need and we even had a welcome hamper for us and our two dogs when we arrived. Would definitely return to this beautiful place
