Soppit Farm Cottages - Broomstick Cottage

Northumberland

Photo: Google Maps

Broomstick Cottage sits within the Northumberland National Park, close enough to Elsdon for village walks yet surrounded by open farmland and woodland you can explore freely. The area suits walkers and cyclists particularly well—footpaths and cycle routes thread through the countryside nearby, and the farm's 20 acres are yours to wander. This part of Northumberland draws people interested in nature and the outdoors, with the wider region offering everything from medieval villages to moorland hikes.

The cottage has three bedrooms (one with a superking bed, two with singles), one bathroom with a shower cubicle, and sleeps four. Downstairs there's a living room with Freeview TV and DVD player, a dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, microwave and full fridge-freezer. A spiral staircase connects the floors; note there are four steps up to the entrance. Parking for two cars is on site, and there's a bike store if you've brought cycles.

Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. The grounds have picnic tables and a sitting-out area with garden furniture. A wood-fired hot tub for six can be arranged in advance for an additional charge. No smoking inside the cottage.
