The Cottage at Wood House
Northumberland

The Cottage at Wood House occupies its own corner of a courtyard set within the grounds of a larger house in Northumberland, on the Durham border. Inside, a single open-plan room serves as living space, dining area and kitchen, warmed by a gas fire and furnished with a 42-inch television. A short flight of four steps leads up to the bedroom, which has a kingsize bed, its own 32-inch television, and an en-suite shower room with heated towel rail. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking: electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included.
Outside, a courtyard to the front has seating, and a lawned area with a picnic table is available for guests' use. A full-size tennis court sits directly behind the property, shared with other cottages on the estate. Private parking for one car is provided on-site. The Cottage sleeps two and is yours alone for the duration of your stay. Smoking is not permitted inside. A shop lies five miles away; a pub and restaurant are 1.5 miles distant. The surrounding countryside offers extensive walking, while the C2C cycle route and various local attractions—including Corbridge's Roman heritage and sculpture installations near Consett—are within reasonable driving distance.
