The Gables Lodge
Northumberland
The Gables Lodge is a three-bedroom house sleeping six in a quiet Northumberland hamlet with countryside views. Built around 1899 as the manager's residence for the former pit village, it retains original character while offering modern essentials. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The kitchen is fully equipped including a double air fryer, there's a living room and separate dining area, and a pool table for evenings indoors. Outside, a garden overlooks the surrounding landscape, and parking is available on the driveway or along the lane beside the property.
Each of the three bedrooms—a king, a double and a twin—provides straightforward comfort for families or groups. The two bathrooms serve the property throughout. The house sits just far enough from the main road to feel genuinely remote, yet a pub is within a mile and local restaurants and supermarkets are a short drive away. No smoking is permitted inside.
