The Nook

Alnwick Castle, the Playhouse and Barter Books are all within easy reach on foot, and the Heritage coastline with its golden sand lies east towards Craster and beyond. Head west and you'll find yourself in countryside that leads to Rothbury and Cragside, the National Trust house set among woodlands. There's no shortage of things to do, whether you want medieval history, independent shops, restaurants or a coastal walk.

The Nook is a mid-terraced cottage on a quiet lane in the town centre. Ground floor holds the living room with a wood burner and smart TV, plus a kitchen and dining area at the rear with an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms – one with a king bed, one with a double – and a bathroom with both bath and shower. The heating is gas-fired, and initial logs for the burner are included. Bed linen, towels and wifi are provided. Parking is on the street outside.

No smoking inside the property. There's a shop, pub and restaurant within half a mile.
