Thistle Dee is a substantial Victorian property in Wooler, a market town at the foot of the Cheviot Hills. The house combines period character with modern comforts: downstairs there's a sitting room with a wood burner opening onto a patio, a dining room for larger groups, and a kitchen equipped for real cooking—gas hob, electric oven, air fryer, slow cooker, dishwasher and washer-dryer all present. One bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor; three more bedrooms and another bathroom upstairs. The bedrooms sleep eight in total: a zip-and-link super king (divisible into two singles), two kingsize beds, and a single with a pull-out single for children. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; the wood burner's initial fuel is too. You have parking for three cars and a paved rear garden with seating.
Wooler itself sits within easy reach of two long-distance routes: St Cuthbert's Way, a 62-mile pilgrimage walk to Holy Island, and the Sandstone Way, a 120-mile mountain-biking route. Pubs, cafés and shops are a short walk away. The property welcomes one pet at no extra charge and is yours alone for the duration of your stay. No smoking indoors.
