Vallum Villa sits in prime walking and cycling country, a few minutes from Hadrian's Wall and within reach of the Pennine Way, Hadrian's Cycleway and various bridleways threading through river valleys and forests. The Scottish borderland and Lake District are also accessible day trips from here. Dark skies make for good stargazing on clear evenings.

The property itself is a two-bedroom villa sleeping four, completely restored in 2022–23. Downstairs has an open-plan kitchen and dining space with a wood-burning stove and electric cooking facilities, plus a second living room with a smart TV. The bedrooms are upstairs: one with a kingsize bed and countryside views through a glass wall, the other with two single beds. Both have ensuite or shower room access. Heating, electricity, wi-fi and bed linen come as standard.

Outside, a decked and lawned garden is furnished for sitting, and a separate summerhouse contains a four-person hot tub (please do not use after 10pm). Two cars can park on the drive, and there is an electric vehicle charging point. Smoking is not permitted inside. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
