Wooler sits at the threshold of some of Northumberland's finest countryside. The town itself is walkable, with shops and cafés, but the real draw is what lies beyond: the Cheviot Hills rise immediately to the south, while the coast is within reach for a day trip. Wooler 60 occupies a quiet spot within a leisure park on the town's edge, surrounded by mature trees and designed as a single-level retreat for four people.
The lodge opens onto a decked veranda overlooking woodland, accessible through French doors from the main living space. Inside, an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area makes the most of natural light; there's comfortable seating and an electric fire for cooler evenings. One bedroom contains a king bed with an en-suite shower room, the other has twin beds, and a second shower room serves the rest of the property. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided. The leisure park includes a swimming pool, play area, games room and restaurant on site.
This works well for couples or families wanting a base for exploring the hills and coast without fuss. A pint is within walking distance. No smoking inside.
