Sprowston Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club

3.5 star .. on average for this hotel is about right. We stayed for the weekend. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Rooms are dated ... comes with the period of the property. Could do with some money spent on them. Breakfast is what it is. Pre cooked buffet. Staff were nice though in this area. They do seem to have many events. We found parking abit of a pain on one of the days. But the hotel has function rooms. So its to be expected. Not the best experience. But not the worst by any means.

Heat didn't help! However we should have been warned they had a prom function that night and we would have booked elsewhere. Both approaching 70 we we travelled to visit family. We booked what we thought would be a quiet peaceful stay. The loud base beat til 11pm was disruptive. The meal was ok but very little choice and a very high price. Room itself was comfortable. Breakfast was ok but a tad dry as pre cooked buffet. I was expecting to be asked if we enjoyed our stay but reception just took our keys and said thank you. For £120 I did expect a better experience.

Just a really bad experience overall. I visited last week and had an awful stay. I was placed in a room with no windows, a half-broken light, hairs covering the floor, and even more shaving hairs in the bed. To be fair, I was issued a refund, apologised to, and encouraged to return another time where they promised to “make it up to me” with a nicer room. Unfortunately, returning this week hasn’t been much better. The rooms were unbearably hot — around 40 degrees. There were also several other issues that I don’t normally encounter elsewhere: * They couldn’t take payment from the same card used to make the booking, which is really inconvenient for work trips. * Restaurant food couldn’t be served outside even though the restaurant itself was boiling hot. * The bar didn’t open until 5:30pm. * The restaurant then closed between 7pm and 8pm due to a private event. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so it’s not as though you can easily walk elsewhere for food, and for somewhere advertised as 3-star, it was really disappointing. The only positive was the staff, who were all lovely and polite throughout.

The WiFi is absolutely terrible, most rooms don't have ac The rooms themselves are nice/ok.Lack power points where you need them,It like a posh travel lodge. The food menu hasn't changed in six months The grounds it's situated in is impressive. The positive all the staff are polite and very understanding of the flaws 5 🌟
