About Killegruer Caravan Site

Tucked away near Glenbarr on the Kintyre Peninsula, Killegruer Caravan Site offers a quiet base for exploring Argyll's rugged west coast. The site welcomes dogs and campfires, and pitches come with electric hook-up—useful when Atlantic weather rolls in. Facilities cover the basics: clean showers, toilets, drinking water and waste disposal, though there's no WiFi if you need to stay connected.

Campers appreciate the peaceful setting and the welcoming, helpful owners who keep things running smoothly. It's straightforward rather than fancy, but that suits families and couples looking for an unpretentious spot to pitch up and explore the dramatic coastline and hills nearby. A solid, friendly choice for a few nights under canvas in rural Argyll.

We were in a campervan, our pitch was right on the sea shore, easy walk to the clean toilet/shower/dish wash block. Small friendly campsite.

Just spent a pleasant 3 nights camping at this gem of a campsite. From the moment We arrived, Anne could not have been more helpful. The facilities were spotless, and the location of our pitch first class to see the sunset after spending a day riding Our motorbikes round the "Kintyre 66". So if You are looking for a place to stay on the Mull of Kintyre look no further than here. We can highly recommend it and will be back in the future.

If you could give 10 stars for location we would, arrived late after a long drive, the owners were very understanding and obliging. Really friendly. Toilet blocks were clean, hot water and functional. So peaceful with the ebb and flow of the sea nowhere in the world can beat this, just breathtakingly beautiful.

We had a fantastic 2 night stay here. The views are incredible and we were treated to two magical sunsets. It is a windy site at times but that’s to be expected given its location. The facilities are dated but spotlessly clean and all in working order. Anne was a wonderful host and we most appreciated her coming to say goodbye before we left - a first that it’s ever happened. You wouldn’t find better views in the finest hotels that Scotland has to offer. We can’t wait to return.
