What visitors say

The art center is worth visiting for it's building and setting alone. Unfortunately when we came in they were in between major exhibits so we were not able to see much aside from the Milly Thomson show and the Foundation Press Starting Lines. Regardless, the staff was very welcoming. We spent some time on the infinite stairway and enjoying the views of Newcastle from the top floor.

Was down in newcastle for a few days, and walking along the tyne, when a couple of geotdie lassies told me to go over there to have a look. Honestly it's great finding these gems in cities and I loved it. Spoke to two friendly lassies in the place,, who were friendly, kind, and worked there and I did a 30 Min tour, on one of the exhibitions that was on, at that time. I highly recommend any visoter to this great city, to go there. ( only five min walk along from tyne bridge and walk over swingy bridge ( we have exact same bridge in Glasgow)

Lady Magenta

Fabulous old flour mill building with panoramic views from the 5th floor. The 5th floor viewing area also has panels showing the interesting history of the building. Some great contemporary art in the galleries and very helpful staff. It's a shame that their is no longer a restaurant on the 6th floor and you can't access it unless you have rented the event space. The stairs and mirrors that give it an infinity effect are spectacular but not for those with vertigo! Lovely space with lots of interesting art.

A very comfortable cafe serving a wide range of food and drinks. Great service and easy to find a seat. The gift shop opposite stocks a fabulous choice of handmade gifts for many imterests. Iconic galleries for contemporary art.
