About easyHotel Oxford
Banbury Road runs straight into the heart of Oxford, and easyHotel Oxford sits along it in Gordon House, giving guests a simple base within reach of the city centre, nearby business parks and the A34 for onward travel. The surrounding stretch has shops, restaurants and a pub or bar close by, along with entertainment options, so there's enough on the doorstep for an evening without needing to travel far.
The hotel has 180 rooms across four floors, served by a lift, with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning as standard, plus accessible rooms for those who need them. Rooms are kept clean and comfortable, and the pared-back style suits shorter stays where price matters more than extras. There's no parking on site, so anyone driving will need to plan for that separately.
Staff are consistently helpful and quick at check-in, which makes arrival straightforward even during busy periods. For those wanting to get outdoors, golf and fishing are both available nearby. With prices from £29 up to £160 depending on dates, easyHotel Oxford works well as a no-frills option for exploring the city and its surrounding area.
What guests say
Absolutely unacceptable. The room contained nothing but a bed. There was no table, no bedside table, no chair, no wardrobe, no luggage rack, and no iron. It was completely bare. Charging £80 per night for a room with such a lack of basic furniture and amenities is outrageous. They demanded an extra £15 for early check-in. I have stayed in countless hotels, and this is the first time I have ever been asked to pay for something so unreasonable. The sink was ridiculously small, with no counter space whatsoever to put even basic toiletries. Every aspect of the room was poorly designed and extremely inconvenient. This hotel offers terrible value for money. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Fine for an overnight stay, but wouldn’t recommend for a long time holiday as the hotel doesn’t provide breakfast or doesn’t have any space in standard double to store your luggage or clothes. No desk as well in case there’s a need to use your laptop. WiFi works very well. There are additional charges, including for an early check-in and a late check-out. They ask you to free up the room before 10am. The area itself offers lots of cafes, shops and restaurants and is well connected with transportation.

Room was smaller than expected with a small window+ledge. Only 2 hooks for your clothes. No glass/mug in the toilet. Low water pressure from the shower but WC flushes well. Only bath towel and floor mat provided (no hook inside the toilet for your towel). Bed/mattress was good, pillows were too soft. No work desk, you’ll have to use the window ledge and sit on the bed to work on your laptop. Wifi was good but annoying (you had to enter your email address every time you access it the next day or when you leave the hotel). Room was clean and the corridors too. Lifts were working and I didn’t try the drinks vending machine. There’s a Tesco and Sainsbury right across the street and a Marks & Spencer a 5-minute walk down the street. Many people good cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Suitable for low-budget travellers visiting Oxford for 1–2 nights. Not recommended for business travellers (not even 1 night!).

A really nice modern hotel with quiet, peaceful rooms. Whilst the single room size is small, it’s perfect for a solo light traveler. Would have been perfect with a few more ensuite facilities. The flexible check in and check out services really come in handy! Shout out to Elena and Aura for their service ☺️
