About Remont Oxford
Remont is at 367 Banbury Road, next door to Cotswold House and in the same band of North Oxford villas, but it takes a deliberately different approach. The house has been refurbished into something closer to a small contemporary hotel than a traditional Oxford bed and breakfast - flat-screen televisions, wi-fi throughout, dark leather, bright throws and clean lines rather than florals and dark wood.
It remains independent and family-run, and the scale is small enough that you deal with the owners rather than a front desk. Rooms are en suite and range from singles up to family rooms; breakfast is included and there is off-street parking, which is the reason a lot of guests choose this part of Oxford in the first place. The gardens at the back are a genuine asset in summer.
Being on the Banbury Road puts you on one of the best bus corridors in the city, with services into the centre every few minutes and Oxford Parkway station a short ride north for Chiltern trains to London Marylebone. Summertown is walkable for restaurants and a supermarket, the Cherwell Boathouse is ten minutes away for punt hire and dinner, and the walk into town past the university parks and the Natural History Museum is one of the nicer approaches to central Oxford. As with the neighbouring guest houses, there is no bar or restaurant, and rooms go quickly for June graduations and early October.

What guests say
Booked this hotel because the website, the photos and the description of this hotel lead you to believe it is a four star hotel. The sign outside says it’s a four star hotel. The photos are extremely misleading! Not one of the photos are a true reflection of what it actually looks like! Disappointedly in our opinion it is no more that a two star. It is just about in keeping with a travel lodge. Very basic, tired, tatty rooms, clearly needs investment both in and outside. No where near the expectation for the amount we paid! The only credit we can offer is the clean bedding and towels. The stains on the carpets and the one of the throws on the bed were not good! It is more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel and I’ve stayed in far better bed and breakfasts!

My parents and I had a great stay here in remont hotel. It’s pretty hard to find nice accommodation for 3 adults with air conditioning (during heatwave) in Oxford but this place was available last minute and it was amazing. Free breakfast was very convenient and good, location is good as well (you will have to bus to get to central Oxford but there’s multiple buses u can take). Service and rooms were 10/10.

The Remont Oxford Hotel is an unassuming yet very comfortable hotel not far from Oxford's centre and university district, yet outside its fee-charging congestion zones. Rooms are tidy and very comfortable, off-street parking is available and free, and the breakfast is exceptional. Mahi, who greeted us upon check-in and at breakfast, was welcoming, helpful and very professional. My wife and I could easily walk to nearby supermarkets, and to the historic university grounds themselves. Our overnight stay at the Remont was very rewarding.

Nice small hotel at walking distance from Summertown. The hotel is very clean and tidy, with nice rooms. We had a standard double room which was a good size for two people. It was very comfortable but the double glazing did not prevent from hearing the traffic outside. The only negative point was the shower head. It ruined a perfectly nice shower. Overall a very nice hotel with plenty of transport to the city centre, with very nice staff and comfortable rooms
