About Lower Harlyn Sights
A spacious, level camping field near Harlyn Bay puts you within 15 minutes' walk of golden sands and less than 10 minutes' drive from Padstow's famous food scene. The well-spaced pitches offer genuine privacy and quiet – ideal if you're planning days of surfing, coastal walks or family trips to nearby theme parks but want a peaceful spot to return to. Facilities are straightforward: clean shower and toilet blocks plus washing-up sinks, with communal fridges and freezers available.
Families and well-behaved dogs are welcome year-round, with plenty of room for a kickabout, though single-sex groups aren't permitted so don't expect a party atmosphere. Bring your own barbecue (just keep it off the grass), and stock up on supplies in St Merryn – a 10-minute walk – where you'll find convenience stores, takeaways and pubs. For something special, Padstow's dining options range from classic chippy fare to Michelin-starred tables.

What visitors say
Wouldn’t recommend. We arrived late after a gig to stay as my sister informed the owner by email, which he didn’t respond to. At 7:30am the owner was banging on my sister’s campervan demanding payment, waking guests that early over payment was completely unnecessary and felt incredibly intrusive. It could easily have waited until we were awake. To make matters worse, we were charged for a car that nobody slept in because our friend stayed in our campervan. We ended up being charged £70 instead of £50. After questioning it, the owner was rude, argumentative and showed very little customer service. The whole experience felt money-driven rather than customer-focused. Instead of welcoming guests, it seemed like every opportunity was taken to charge extra. There are plenty of campsites that treat their visitors with far more respect, and unfortunately this isn’t one I’d return to or recommend.

A fabulous camp site in a superb location. James is the best host one could ask for. Super friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The facilities are spotless and it was beautifully quiet. A short amble to the beach. Dog loved it too! Highly recommended.
