Camping in Padstow

Padstow itself has very little space for camping, hemmed in as it is by the estuary and by steep, densely built streets, so most pitches near the town are found a short drive inland, along the Camel Trail towards Wadebridge or in the countryside around Little Petherick. What these sites lack in harbourside views they make up for with easy parking, more space for families and, in several cases, direct access to the Camel Trail for cycling into Padstow rather than driving.

The closest option to the town is a small, traditional site within walking distance of the harbour via the Camel Trail, well suited to campers without a car who still want to be able to walk into Padstow for dinner. Further out, larger family-oriented parks combine touring and camping pitches with glamping options, adventure play areas and, in some cases, swimming pools, making them a good choice for families who want facilities on-site as well as easy access to Padstow and the surrounding beaches.

As with the town's hotels, demand for pitches close to Padstow is high throughout the summer holidays, and the closer, smaller sites in particular can sell out well in advance for July and August. Electric hook-ups, when available, are usually charged separately from the pitch fee, and dogs are welcome at all three of the sites below, generally for a small additional charge per night.
