About Tregella Place Camping

Tregella Place Camping occupies a peaceful spot just outside Padstow, offering straightforward camping with a genuinely warm welcome. The site's 70 non-electric grass pitches suit those after a back-to-basics stay, and campfires are positively encouraged — a rarity that campers consistently praise. Dogs roam freely here, and the relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere strikes a chord with families and couples alike.

Padstow's harbour, restaurants and the Camel Trail lie minutes away, making this an ideal base for exploring north Cornwall's coast and countryside. Facilities are simple but well-maintained: hot showers, toilets and drinking water cover the essentials. Some note the lack of electric hook-ups and chemical disposal might not suit everyone, but for those happy to keep things low-key, Tregella delivers exactly what it promises — a friendly, fuss-free site where the focus stays firmly on the outdoors.

Turned up without a booking and was warmly welcomed (July 2026). £20 for me and my camper. Stayed three nights! Nice big open field (most of the field is sloping, so wheel blocks recommended). Clean and modern shower/toilet block and nice washing up facilities with a power point. Nice tented area for a beer at the bus bar with a great view and beautiful sunsets. No reception to speak of which could be a small improvement as occasionally I wasn't sure how to contact campsite staff, but otherwise ideal for what I was looking for. Clean, quiet and cheap. Thanks for a great stay.

We are returning customers and we are coming back again. It was one of the best campsites we ever been. Very relaxed and and free atmosphere. We could use where to pitch. Owner of the camp Lucy is such a welcoming and caring lady. She makes sure that everyone feels welcome.

This is one of the best campsites we have ever stayed at! 4 of us aged between 58-74 usually going for quiet basic sites absolutely loved this gem! The owners are super helpful even lending us a mattress. The vibe is chilled festival, plenty of space and no annoying “plots” - really clean loos and showers, great food truck and excellent (and cheap) bar in the bus. The bonus last night was the band “The Offshoots” treating us all to a couple of hours of covers of great songs. A very special place close to lots of walks and beaches. Can’t wait to go back.
