About The London Inn
The London Inn began life as three fishermen's cottages knocked together in 1803, and remains an independent, family-run pub at the centre of Padstow life, a short walk from the harbour on Lanadwell Street. Five en-suite bedrooms sit above the bar, named The Clipper, Ketch, Schooner, Cutter and Lugger, ranging from small doubles to king-size rooms.
Downstairs, the pub keeps a strong local following alongside its visitors, with a wide selection of cask ales, a menu drawing on global influences and local Cornish produce, and a roof terrace for warmer evenings. It is a livelier, more sociable option than many of Padstow's quieter guest houses, reflecting its role as a working local pub rather than a purpose-built hotel.
Rooms are simple but comfortable, each with a flatscreen television and tea and coffee making facilities, and the central position means the harbour, shops and restaurants of Padstow are all within a few minutes' walk.

Poppy takes the time during her busy working day to ensure her guests are fully supported and looked after. Even in her own time, if she sees us, Poppy will greet us and always ask how we are which of course robustly encourages us to return to the wonderful The London Inn under new management. We had a fantastic pub dinner at Spice Kitchen inside the London Inn and were really impressed with both the quality and flavour of the food. We ordered the cauliflower pakora, Korean chicken, beef bon bons, lamb kebab, Thai fish cakes, fish tacos, egg fried rice and naan bread — every dish arrived piping hot, full of flavour and beautifully spiced. The variety across the menu was excellent and there was something everyone enjoyed. The standout for us was how fresh and well-cooked everything tasted. The spices were balanced perfectly, giving each dish plenty of flavour without overpowering it. Service was friendly and the atmosphere made for a really enjoyable evening. We’d definitely return and would happily recommend Spice Kitchen to anyone visiting Padstow looking for a tasty and satisfying meal.

We ate as a family including a small child for the first time since the re-opening of the London Inn. The food choices were excellent, including the children’s menu and we were very pleased when it all arrived. Freshly cooked , very good quality. Service was second to none, and we pass on our thanks to John, Jack and Gwill. Highly recommended. We’ll be back soon.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at London Inn - à proper traditional old fashioned Victorian pub in the lanes in town. Rooms have recently been zhuzhed and are really lovely. Friendly staff. Great spot. Thanks!
