About Gallows Camping
On the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Gallows Camping occupies the grounds of an award-winning café – meaning brunches, lunches and fabulous cakes are never more than a short stroll away. The café uses local ingredients (including home-grown ones where possible), and the on-site farm stand sells fresh fruit and veg, free-range eggs, honey from the Gallows hives and firewood for campfires. It's a tiny, pop-up site with just a handful of pitches, so book ahead.
The medieval walled town of Pembroke sits five minutes' drive away, while the area's gorgeous beaches, Wales Coast Path walks and family attractions like Manor Wildlife Park and Heatherton World of Activities are all within easy reach. Back on site, facilities are simple – washing-up area, toilets and showers – though guests are asked to avoid showering between 10am and 3pm when café customers use the facilities. Note that pets aren't permitted.

Visited here as was highly rated in Google - very nice quaint shop in a remote location with lovely atmosphere and delicious looking cakes, and good friendly service. However was a little disappointed with the quality of the lunch - edible, but not value for money at £14 for a bland quiche with (what tastes like from frozen) potato wedges, and £10.95 for a barely melted, also a tad bland, sliced cheese toast with mushrooms. Food came out very quick though, felt around barely 5 minutes from order to service. Had not been impressed by the “cooked” lunch that didn’t venture to the cakes - but they did look very good. Overall: Visit for the vibes, and possibly the cakes. Maybe try something other than the quiche and the “welsh rarebit” sandwich for food.

What an amazingly quaint cafe on the outskirts of Pembroke. The owners have put so much effort into the decorations and the food is just second to none. The attention to every detail to make your visit a memorable one really shows. If you want to experience customer service as it used to be then try this little hidden cafe.

The place is an absolute delight. With a cutesy interior and a nice terrace. We enjoyed two different cakes: an apricot & cherry crown, and a plum & lemon slice. Both packed full of flavour. The breakfast and lunch options looked wonderful as well, so maybe next time…

Quirky rural cafe. Dog friendly with the option of doggy bacon & eggs to order. Good parking and outdoor seating. Handmade cakes were a good portion and lots of variety. Menu wasn't to our liking - could do with more simpler options.
