What visitors say

Top of the Woods is an oasis of pure magic. Soo and Jon are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The site is well situated a short drive from beaches and seaside towns. It’s well kept and looked after with a range of camping options as well as spotlessly clean facilities . The safari lodge tents are thoughtfully appointed with useful kitchen appliances and the addition of the outdoor shower and bathroom means you can really enjoy a bit of peace to relax and unwind. All whilst looking at the views across the beautiful Presilli hills. The recent addition of a woodland spa for visitors demonstrates their commitment to your relaxation. Can’t wait to go back! .

We stayed for 5 nights over the May half term holiday and we had the most fantastic time, it was our first time staying at this campsite and we have already booked to go back next year. The majority of families there also go repeatedly year after year. We stayed in a pioneer tent and it was perfect for us, with very comfy king sized double and two single beds, warm feather duvets and a wood stove kept us cosy at night. Plenty of floor space was available in the tent for our travel cot too. The setting is beautiful, the facilities are great. Our own outdoor kitchen had the most stunning view and was fully stocked. Compost loo and water tap is right there next to the tent, or flushing toilets along with warm showers a very short walk through the beautiful site. There's one shower room that's extra large you can easily fit in with family if needed. Kids were safe to play with new friends they found on site thanks to the site being car free. The bring your own tent field also looked great, we just don't own our own kit. The communal kitchen area was great for the nights food was provided and can be used to prep any meal you wish. I also did yoga on site on the Sunday morning which was great, and enjoyed an relaxing few hours in the adults only wild spa on site. Beautiful west Wales beaches 15/20 drive. Check in and check out is a dream, wheelbarrows on site to transport things to and from the car. You can purchase firewood, marshmallows and ice creams on site. The owners are so helpful and friendly, Soo is an absolute delight and there for whatever you need, I cant describe how lovely it is the effort they have put in to create such a beautiful family friendly space. I also understand outside of school holidays a lot of couples and families without kids enjoy the site during this time with less chaos. Its a beautiful site set in nature and you are spaced enough from your neighbours to feel the peace the natural surroundings are set in.

We had the best holiday staying at Top of the Woods. It was clear that so much care and attention has been put into making this beautiful place such a brilliant place to stay. There are a wide range of camping options. We opted to bring our own tent but we were shown around some of the other options, and had friends staying in pioneer tents, and also using the hook up area. The domes looked so snug and cosy and I loved how each tent had a cooking area that was really well stocked with equipment. The owners (Soo and Jon) are friendly and helpful without being obtrusive. The covered games area and huge communal barn, along with the covered haybale area provided and opportunity to meet people in the dry and to share food. We loved pizza night! We enjoyed walks direct from the site, and travelled by car to go anywhere further afield. The sauna and well being area was the absolute icing on the cake. There is so much to do in the area and we enjoyed some stunning nearby coastlines and walks during our stay. The site felt safe and secure and our children loved how much open space there was - the pitches are extremely generous and the middles of fields kept as meadow areas. They also enjoyed getting to feed the pigs! The facilities were very clean and tidy. I would have absolutely no hesitation to recommend this site. It's beautiful and is owned and run by people who really care about the land and your stay.

Another wonderful family holiday at TOW. Car free site so kids were free range for 4 days and parents could relax. Beautiful site which the owners have managed really tastefully with wild meadows, etc. Defo recommend wild spa! Thanks Sue and John!
