The Cilwendeg Estate spans 350 acres of countryside near Boncath, with woodland walks and grounds that date back to the late 18th century. Cilwendeg Lodge is the gatehouse, a Grade II listed building from the early 1800s now restored as a self-catering property. You have the whole place to yourself – two bedrooms, one bathroom, and space for four guests.
The layout keeps things simple. Downstairs there's a living room with a wood burner, a kitchen equipped for full cooking, and a kingsize bedroom. Upstairs, a twin room completes the accommodation. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included; the wood burner comes with an initial supply of logs. The garden is private, with lawn, seating, a gas barbecue, and a hot tub that fits six. You can request a travel cot, highchair or stairgate if needed. Parking for three cars is on site, and there's a bike store.
This corner of Pembrokeshire suits anyone wanting a quiet base for exploring the county – the estate itself offers immediate access to walking routes, and the property works equally well for families or groups looking for a few nights away from everyday life. No smoking inside.
