Trefalen Farm

Bosherston, Pembroke SA71 5DZ, UK

Simple farm camping beside Broad Haven South beach on the Stackpole coast

About Trefalen Farm

Trefalen Farm sits on sloping ground overlooking Broad Haven South, one of Pembrokeshire's loveliest stretches of sand, with the beach itself just a few minutes' walk down from the pitches. The site occupies two fields on a working farm near Bosherston, and the position is hard to beat: the coast path runs in both directions from the bay, east towards Barafundle and west along the Castlemartin cliffs, while the famous Bosherston lily ponds lie just inland.

Facilities are deliberately basic—a single toilet block, cold-water showers, taps and washing-up sinks dotted around the fields, but no shop, no hook-ups, no Wi-Fi and no playground. This keeps prices low and the atmosphere quiet, suiting tent campers and walkers who value location and simplicity over creature comforts. Dogs are welcome but must be controlled around livestock. The Army's Castlemartin range next door occasionally closes coastal sections on firing days, with schedules posted in advance.

Advance booking is essential in school holidays. Bring supplies—the nearest proper shops are fifteen minutes away in Pembroke—and be ready for wind off the bay.

Myself and my partner stayed here over bank holiday weekend. The campsite was lovely and clean. Basic toilets and showers available. The views from the camp were amazing! A 5 minute walk to the beach, the beach is stunning. Lovely walking routes nearby. Unfortunately our camping stove broke and we were in a roof tent so unable to drive anywhere but one of the owners kindly let us borrow theirs. The owners were friendly and accommodating. Would 100% recommended and will be returning 😁

This is a great place to escape the rat race. The camp site is very basic, the owners are friendly. Broad Haven South beach is a great beach for children with a walk at the far end into the Lilly Ponds. Gorgeous walks along the cliffs to watch the sea life and birds. Don't forget to visit St Govans chapel, a very small chapel built into the cliff side.

Perfect location for walking to Broad Haven South beach (next door) and Barafundle Bay (40min coastal walk). The owners were very friendly and accommodating. It is a very peaceful site, which was perfect for me, my husband and our little puppy. Not suitable for rowdy groups (i imagine some of these negative reviews may have stemmed from a telling off!) We will certainly be back :)

We stayed for 1 night just to try out our new self built van. The owner was polite, and the site was very clean. Cold shower may not be the liking of some, that's the only downside. Broadhaven South Beach was beautiful, anyone would think that they were in the Caribbean and not Pembrokeshire. Will definitely come back
