About Upper Scolton Camping

Tucked into the rolling Pembrokeshire countryside near Spittal, this tiny working farm campsite offers a genuinely quiet, back-to-basics escape with a thoughtful twist. Each of the handful of spacious pitches comes with its own camp hut kitted out with a two-ring hob, coolbox, private shower and composting toilet—plus a picnic bench and firepit outside. Cars are parked in an adjoining area after unloading, leaving the field peaceful and safe for families. Shared facilities up at the farmyard include fridges, freezers and phone-charging points, while a small shop stocks firewood and essentials.

The 300-strong dairy herd and flock of Texel sheep are the real stars here, and the passionate owners welcome visitors to see the animals and milking parlour by appointment—though bear in mind this is a busy, working operation with machinery and vehicles about. Surrounding views stretch for miles, and while facilities are eco-minded and unfussy, some might find the composting loos and lack of bells and whistles a little too rustic for their taste.

Beautiful campsite, easily the best we've ever stayed at. Peaceful setting and everything you need is there for you. It was so helpful not having to pack plates, pans etc. Great to have your own shower, which was excellent. The owners were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It's a real gem of a place. We'll definitely be back! 😊

What a lovely site! Very peaceful, super clean, great location. We chose a pitch with an equipped hut, which has a private shower and toilet. The hut is so well equipped with a hob, loads of utensils, also access to cool blocks. It is close to Haverfordwest so you can get your supplies. We will definitely come back here again!!

THE place to stay; if you only visit Pembrokeshire once make sure you make your stay at Upper Scolton Camping. Great views; facilities; hosts and hospitality, with peace and tranquility. A great base to explore and enjoy everything Pembrokeshire has to offer. We have already booked to comeback at least twice more this Summer.
