Ardwyn
Pembrokeshire
Families and groups of up to eight will find Ardwyn works well as a base for exploring Pembrokeshire's coast. The house has three bedrooms—two with zip-and-link kingsize beds that can be split into singles, and one with bunks—plus two bathrooms. Downstairs, a large open-plan kitchen, dining and living space opens via bi-fold doors onto a private garden with patio and barbecue. There's also a second sitting room with a sofa bed, useful for extra sleeping or a quiet retreat. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with an induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher and wine cooler among its appliances.
What makes the location special is the half-hour walk to Trefin, where the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path begins. This 186-mile route passes dramatic cliffs, hidden coves and sandy beaches including Whitesands Bay, Abereiddy and Abercastle, all reasonably close. The house suits families with young children—travel cots, highchairs and stairgates are available—and one well-behaved pet stays free. Electricity, heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included. The property is non-smoking. There is parking for three or four cars and an enclosed back garden.
