Yr Hen Gof
Pembrokeshire
Mathry sits on a hillside in central Pembrokeshire, a quiet village with a traditional pub within easy walking distance. Yr Hen Gof is a conversion of the former smithy and smith's cottage, keeping exposed stone walls and vaulted ceilings from its original life. The whole place is yours alone, with parking for three cars on site and space for one pet at no extra cost.
Downstairs holds the living room with an open fire, a spacious kitchen and dining area with a piano, and a sun room that opens onto a gravelled garden with furniture. The main bedroom has a double bed; upstairs, a galleried room over the kitchen contains two single beds. One bathroom serves both. Essentials like bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with heating and the fire fuel through the winter months. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with a dishwasher, cooker and microwave. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.
The surrounding area offers immediate access to walking and cycling country, with easy routes to nearby coves and beaches. The Abermawr and Aberbach twin beaches are reachable by a walk through National Trust woodland—dogs are welcome year-round and the limited car park means they rarely feel crowded.
