Cwm Gain
Pembrokeshire
Walk through the entrance and Cwm Gain opens into a single, interconnected living space on the ground floor. The sitting area has a television and patio doors that lead straight onto a decked terrace where you can look out over the valley. The kitchen sits within the same room, fitted with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and all the basics needed to cook. A utility room contains the washing machine and tumble dryer. Three bedrooms branch off from this central area: one with a double bed, one with two singles, and one with bunks. The single bathroom has a bath with shower, heated towel rail, and there is a separate toilet. Underfloor heating keeps the place warm, and Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. Parking for two cars sits on the grounds.
The lodge stands in Pembrokeshire meadow countryside between Llanrhian and Porthgain, a small harbour village five minutes' walk away. The Pembrokeshire coastal path begins just a short walk from the property, opening up miles of walking along high cliffs and past rocky coves. Traeth Llyfn beach lies less than a mile along the path, and further sections connect to beaches including Whitesands near St David's. In Porthgain itself, The Sloop Inn serves as the local pub, and The Shed is a bistro known for fresh seafood. The village also has two galleries showing local work. The grounds contain an unfenced stream running through them, so families with young children should be aware of this. No smoking is permitted inside.
