Haverfordwest sits within reach of Pembrokeshire's beaches and coastal paths, with St Brides Bay and its string of sandy coves just a short drive away. Oak Cottage is a ground-floor property within mature grounds, self-contained and private to you, though part of a small cluster of holiday cottages that share facilities. One bedroom has a double bed, the other twin beds, and a wet room serves the two. Everything is on one level, with an open-plan living and dining space that opens onto a south-facing courtyard for outdoor meals.

The kitchen is galley-style and equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, microwave and full fridge-freezer—so you can eat in or out as you choose. Essentials like bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are covered. A private hot tub seats six, perfect for evening relaxation after a day out exploring. Shared on-site amenities include a games room with pool table, table football and table tennis, plus a tennis court and gym. If you're travelling with a young child, a travel cot and highchair are available on request. One dog or cat can stay with you at no extra cost. There's parking for two cars. No smoking inside. Check-in is after 4.30pm and checkout before 10am.

What a lovely place to stay, has all you would need, the cottage is very clean and tidy. It has a gym, laundry and games room. I would highly recommend it

Our family of four have recently spent a week at Firstone Cottages (Oak Cottage). This part of Wales which we had never been to was really nice and I’m sure we will return one day Located on and around working farms this little oasis in the rural Pembrokeshire was certainly a break from our usual surroundings in Berkshire England. It offers a small number of self contained cottages that have been finished to a good standard and offering everything you would need for a self catering style break. Oak cottage comes provided with a hot tub which we really enjoyed and it made the stay even more pleasant especially when the weather was not playing game. Being dog friendly we were also able to bring the fifth member of our family on holiday too. Our hosts were very helpful and nothing was too much bother. We used a grocery delivery service from Tesco which allowed us to have everything we needed on arrival. Note though an under-counter style fridge/freezer is supplied so very compact. Our hosts also kindly provided a little welcome hamper of milk and a few other bits which was a nice touch. There is a games room nearby which offers a pool table, table tennis, table football and a small soft play area. The only downsides for us was the continuous smell of the local farms and the accompanying army of flies both of which I suppose come with farm life and livestock but not something we had considered. No EV charging available on site for those who may have one and the nearest town is a good 15 minutes away to access one. Internet provision is quite slow and regularly affected by bad weather. No local shops either so come prepared or be prepared to travel. All in all a nice stay.

We had a wonderful 4 night break at Ash Cottage. There are beautiful beaches and walks a 10 minute drive away. The games room is a great source of entertainment, and the perfect back-up if the weather lets you down. The hot tub is fabulous, and really private. We didn't get the chance to try the gym, but that looked great too, and the kids enjoyed a knock on the tennis court. The cottage itself is lovely, well-equipped and clean. The owner, Jessica, was really friendly, helpful and accommodating. She was prompt in answering our questions before we arrived, and was on hand to help with queries during our stay. The little welcome package was very much appreciated after a long drive before we popped to the supermarket. All in all, a great holiday cottage that I would recommend.
