Hayscastle Cottages - The Old Coach House
Pembrokeshire
View on Google MapsHaverfordwest sits at the heart of Pembrokeshire, within reach of dramatic coastline, quiet villages and the National Park. Upper Hayscastle Farm lies a few miles north, a rural working property where The Old Coach House—a traditional stone-built cottage dating to the 16th century—occupies its own private corner. The house sleeps 5 across three bedrooms: a double with its own veranda overlooking the countryside, and two rooms with single beds. There is one bathroom with a walk-in shower and bath.
Inside, a wood-burning stove warms the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with a gas oven, hob, dishwasher and everything needed to prepare meals. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included. The main bedroom's veranda is furnished for sitting out—useful on clear evenings when St Bride's Bay is visible in the distance. Outside, an enclosed lawn with patio and barbecue provides space for children to play safely; a football net is there if you need it. Parking for two cars sits on site. One well-behaved pet can stay free of charge.
Newgale beach, known for its long sandy stretch and strong waves, lies about 10 minutes' drive south. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs nearby for walking. The hamlet itself remains quiet and rural, though Haverfordwest town is accessible for shopping and services. Smoking is not permitted inside.
