The Waterfront - Woodpecker

Castle Pill, a tidal inlet off the Pembrokeshire Haven Waterway, draws birdwatchers, paddlers and those who simply want to watch the water shift through the day. The Waterfront – Woodpecker sits at the water's edge in a small development, built in 2022, with steps leading down to the foreshore and access to the riverside. The cottage is yours alone for the stay, with parking on site and a private garden with barbecue.

Inside, the ground floor opens as one living space: a sitting area with television and music, a dining section, and a kitchen where you can cook properly – oven, hob, dishwasher and all the basics are there. Upstairs are three bedrooms: a kingsize with its own shower room and French doors to a small balcony; two singles in an ensuite room; and a zip-and-link pair with another balcony. A third bathroom serves the back bedroom. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; heating runs from October to April. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Note there are ten steps both down to the garden and down to the riverside.

Dale, a coastal village a short drive away, has water-sports tuition and equipment hire. The wider Pembrokeshire coastline is easily reached by car. Guests with younger children can request a travel cot and highchair on booking. No smoking inside the property.
