Upper Farm Barns - Pipistrelle Cottage
Pembrokeshire

Haverfordwest sits close to Pembrokeshire's National Park, and the countryside around it draws walkers and cyclists throughout the year. This converted farm building stands in the village of Mathry, where The Farmers Arms and a tea room serve locals and visitors. The cottage itself dates from 1650 but was comprehensively renovated in 2021, keeping the original character—exposed beams and vaulted ceilings—while delivering modern comfort.
Inside, everything is on one level. The open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas, with a woodburner providing warmth in cooler months. The bedroom holds a double bed, and the en-suite bathroom has a shower over the bath. A sitting-out area with garden furniture overlooks the grounds, and there is parking for one car on site. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included; logs for the burner are provided too. The cottage sleeps two and is yours alone for the duration of your stay.
It suits couples and solo travellers looking for a quiet base within reach of the coast and countryside. Dogs are welcome at no extra cost. Smoking is not permitted inside.
