Upper Farms Barns - Swallow Lodge
Pembrokeshire
Swallow Lodge opens onto a single storey of continuous space—everything on ground level, which matters if stairs are a concern. You step into an open-plan living area where the vaulted ceiling with its original beams rises above you, a woodburner ready to light, and the kitchen flows directly into the dining and sitting zones without partition. The proportions are genuine; this was a dairy barn once, and that generous volume has been kept. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are all provided, along with an initial supply of logs.
Three bedrooms branch off this main space. The largest has a kingsize bed and its own ensuite shower room; the second is a double; the third has bunks. A second bathroom serves the other two. The kitchen is set up for actual cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave—rather than holiday stints of beans on toast. Outside, a large lawned garden with patio and furniture runs around the building; parking for two cars sits on site.
Upper Farms Barns sits in Mathry village, at the edge of Pembrokeshire National Park. The village has a pub and tea room. One dog stays free of charge. No smoking inside.
