Woodland Retreat is a single-storey cottage set within 12 acres of mature woodland near Haverfordwest, a short walk from the coastal village of Solva. The property was converted from the former laundry of a manor house and now accommodates two guests in a double bedroom with a wet room, open-plan living space, and kitchen. A wood burner heats the main room; underfloor heating runs throughout. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and initial logs are provided, along with parking on site and a bike store.
The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge and washer-dryer. A walled rear garden with seating overlooks woodland, and the grounds contain a 4ft-deep pond—a notable feature for wildlife watching. Up to two small dogs stay free. The cottage is no-smoking. Solva's restaurants and harbour are accessible via a woodland trail from the entrance, and the area suits those wanting rural quiet with easy access to coastal walks.

I'm not telling you about this place because then you will want to go there and I'll find it difficult to get a reservation. One minor, very minor, criticism. Nowhere to hang anything except against a wall. It was just what we needed and yes, we will go back.

Lovely, beautiful spot and a very well built home. Thought through every part and all with high quality appliances and fittings. Friendly hosts and clear instructions. Walks from this are beautiful and varied options.
