Y Gwesty Bach Cottages- The Gatehouse
Pembrokeshire
Castlemorris is a hamlet on Pembrokeshire's quieter inland side, close enough to the sea that you can walk to Abermawr or Aberbach beach without a car. The Gatehouse sits within the grounds of a larger property, a converted stone building with its own distinct entrance, parking for two cars, and an enclosed rear garden with patio and barbecue. The cottage itself has a contemporary interior wrapped in traditional stone walls – it was added to the original 1700s buildings within the last fifty years.
Downstairs holds a living room with a wood-burner and doors opening to the garden, plus a separate kitchen/dining room where you can cook proper meals. A ground-floor toilet saves trips upstairs. The first floor has two bedrooms – one with a king bed, one with two singles – and a bathroom with a bath, shower, and heated towel rail. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; pets stay free. The garden has a small step, and smoking is not permitted.
From here you're well-placed for the Pembrokeshire Coast Path (less than two miles away), and the famous beaches of Whitesands and Newgale are a fifteen-minute drive. St David's, Abereiddy's blue lagoon, and the fishing village of Porthgain with its restaurant and pub are all close by. Mathry village, two minutes' drive, has a pub.
